The second premiere title of Simone Stone and Heiner Müller's Medea is staged by the great European director Martin Kušej. Through Medea's motifs, Kušej wants to question the cruel mechanisms of the world, Medea's otherness, her position in social and political terms, especially in a time of growing xenophobia. The play is a co-production of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin and the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor, and will be premiered at the Lovrjenac Fortress.
